Family Portrait

Then: I was a skinny band geek. I would not trade my CHS experience for anything in the world. Had a lot of ups and downs, but recall the experience and people with great fondness.

Now: Well, I’m single (again), living in Glendale raising a 9 year old boy. Spent the first 15 years after CHS in the public safety arena as a firefighter and paramedic. Transitioned to the Human Resources field for a few years. Sprinkled in there was raising 2 kids (now grown) and attending college. Now and for the past 10 years, I’m having the best time of my working life training pilots to fly big, fast jets at a major airline.

I still crave time spent in the mountains of Colorado and Arizona camping, fishing and geocaching. Though not as often as I would like, I fly little airplanes in and around Arizona when the temperatures are a little more mild and fuel is not so stinkin’ expensive. I enjoy watching football (my kids flag football games, college football and the NFL) and baseball (D’Bax). I’ve enjoyed traveling the country and I’m looking forward to visiting other parts of the world in the very near future.

Most importantly, I’ve discovered and celebrate that learning is a life long process and that everything that has occurred in my life is all about choices I’ve made and my place in the universe.

I’m so looking forward to reconnecting with everyone at the 35th Reunion in October.

Tailwinds!
