You were shy but ALWAYS made eye contact - always had time to say hello. Always even remembered my name. You made me feel like I mattered. Be well - Pierre

Jim Norland, it seems I knew Jim all of his life. What a truly nice, genuine person. I was very sadden to hear of his sudden death. It's just is shocking to know that a person of Jim's quality has left us. My sincere condolences to his parents, and siblings.

I can honestly say that...Jim was my very first So. Scottsdale/Supai area/Moreland street neighborhood kid-friend.
Jim lived right across the street,we did all the stuff kids did back then.
Although in the early 60's there wasn't a helluva lot to do, we explored and made the most of it. Papago Plaza, the nearby desert, the summertime ball games, would head up to the Dairy Queen for a Mr. Misty, watching `It's Wallace?' together and making general neighborhood mischief.
My family has known the Norlands for for just short of 50 years...half a century think about that.
Unfortunately it seemed that as we got older,we went to different clicks,or friends..but once in a long while we'd contact each other. The last time was about a year ago...he discovered my Wallace and Ladmo website I run.
He made a post of his W&;L and the times memories there. Those simple times..the pre-major today crimes, and he seemed to be reflecting even perhaps longing for the sweet Scottsdale 60's and being an innocent kid again. God Bless ya Jim..I'll miss you and hope to play-again like we did as kids.

Knowing Jim throughout grade and high school, his wit and logic never ceased to surprise me. It is of no surprise now that God's Kingdom has received his truly blessed spirit, and that Jim's being will live on in all of us who know him...
