It is 2009 and I just found out about Rick being gone. I feel awkward for so many reasons - and am aware that it hits me as if it JUST happened because in my little world, it did just happen. I recall this lil guy, especially little as he was smaller than me and I was a damn little senior. I was Prez of the school so knew Rick as he began to lead the freshman and sophomores. He's ask me for advise which shocked me as he was a natural. I adored his laugh - this booming baritone from such a little guy. When he smiled it was like he had a mouth fulla Chicklets. Hope you and Esther look in on each other lil buddy!

I remember all the times that Kathy, Rick and I would sit on the fence outside his house and talk; or watch Rick play football in the cul-de-sac with my brothers, Clay Noble and Jerry Beers. Those were the days my friend. You're forever in our hearts and prayers.

I knew you from day one of my life, we grew up in the crib together and you were like my brother. I love you so very much. Always remember Asham was a Tootin Turk!!!
